Added comments and improved public documents to WideWord
WideWord is now nearly complete with the features that I wanted in it.
The latest new features are:
- Comments on Public Documents
- Comment administration within private document admin page
- You can now add a name, email and url (for a blog or what not) to your public pages
- There is now a page where you can list all public documents for a particular email (See mine )
What is missing? I want to be able to allow you to share a secret read only version with someone. Lets say you have written your fantastic business plan using WideWord and you want to send a read only version to a potential angel investor. You will be able to send an invitation to your angel investor. The document remains completely private and the investor can not change it. I want you to be able to pick a specific version to share or allow him to always get the latest version. Update Read only support now added.
You may want to exchange private comments on the document between your participants and also the above mentioned investor. For this I will be adding “Messages”, which are just like comments but private and encrypted.
I have another fun project that I’m rearing to get started on. I may get a prototype done on that before I implement the above mentioned features.
Anyway thanks to the power of rails, I have a pretty much complete web application running, that I started less than 2 weeks ago. I have not worked full time on it either. Maybe this is a good time to plug myself as a rails consultant. If you have an app and you need it done quickly write to me at pelle@neubia.com .
