WideSheet teaser 5

I just cooked this up last night. It will be the next member of my family of web apps. It’s a fully Ajax based spreadsheet application. It wont be as complete as Excel, but have most of what a small business would need. Bear in mind the gui is still a bit rough.
While I’m working on this, go try out WideWord.

What will it do that NumSum doesn’t? (http://numsum.com)
WikiCalc loos interesting too:

I had a quick look at what both WikiCalc and NumSum does and they both look interesting.
However one thing I would like to do is go a bit away from the traditional spreadsheet paradigm and do something maybe a bit more like Quantrix, but simpler. We’ll see. I’ve got it emulating a basic spreadsheet right now, but I’m refactoring it to see what comes out.
I will also be adding links between WideWord and WideSheet using the web service apis.
Looking at Quantrex makes sense. It’s not neccessarily true that the outfit that comes up with MS Excel on a web page will ultimately garner users.
On the other hand Quantrex has designed a GUI that makes it simpler to build financial spreadsheets. Their design would require less drag-and-drop and copy support than would a traditional spreadsheet. (Quantrex pivot table functionality would not be needed for an online spreadsheet.)
I am very interested in this product please keep me posted.
