I am seriously loosing my patience with British Airways 7
This has been an absolute nightmare and I will do my best to never travel with them again.
We are now at day 8 without our luggage. BA promised us we would have the luggage yesterday but there is now no trace of it. I know it might be too much to ask but someone at BA needs to stand up and take responsibility for this.
No one has responded to us from their customer disservice department. I have never in my life been treated so bad by a private company. Government offices yes, private companies never.
It looks like they are the Dell of airlines.
To make worst worse, they have no global customer service phone lines. They don’t publicize any information besides fax lines. Their UK customer service offices are open only in the most unhelpful hours for people on the left side of the Atlantic (actually for people on the right side as well. Also the only way I have of dialing international phone calls is with Skype. Skype (on the mac anyway) doesn’t allow you to navigate touch tone numbers. At least I have not discovered such a way.

“It looks like they are the Dell of airlines.” Thats classic. But on a serious note, this sounds really horrible man. :-\ I read your other post.
I’ve flown alot but I guess have had the good fortune to never have my luggage lost. Hopefully you get your stuff and they start treating you with some decency. Good luck man.
These buttons work fine for me: <img src=”http://unicast.org/enclosures/skype-touchtone.png”>
Please don’t post boring blogs. All airlines are shite at some point in time!!
Guang, I managed to get them to work finally on BA’s UK phonelines, but not on their Buenos Aires nor US lines. A Skype knowledge base answer hints that the preset length of the tones are too short.
Marston, Thanks dude.
John, All airlines are shite at some time, but i am stuck in the middle of an very frustrating situation so I’m afraid I will continue to post about it.
Hope it works out better than it did for Ze. http://www.zefrank.com/theshow/archives/2006/06/062106.html
There is so much more to air traffic than you would ever know about. But hey…. how great the world would be if airlines were the biggest problem. It was 38 (terrible) hours, I understand, but really what is 38 hours out of an entire lifetime.

My son travelled to belgrade to take part in the biggest event of his life, european youth olympics festival, he is 15 and his sport is judo. After more than a 24hr delay and being redirected to paris- 8hrs in paris then arriving in belgrade in the early hrs of the morning his bag did not arrive, this contains all his judo suits along with everything else he needed, every day which passed he was promised his bag would be there the next day. We travelled to belgrade to watch him and we too were told his bag would arrive, he started his journey on the 20,07,07 it is now 31.07.07 and we are back home. My son had to borrow 2 judo suits for the competition and we still have no bag and dont no how to find it.We have had no contact from British Airways apart from waiting 51minutes on the phone only to be told i needed a different number or to try to trace online(i dont no how to do this if any one can help). British Airways ruined my sons olympic experience and i am totally gutted for him,he prepared for this for months i hope they are proud of themselves. If anyone can suggest any way of finding this bag or getting some contact or satisfaction from them i would really appraciate the advice.
